Samuel Donatien NENGUE in charge of cocoa and coffee competitiveness

    • 15 March 2021

[ACCI] This former of Ponts et chaussées of Paris who passed through the management of the Road Fund of Cameroon, is getting ready to pilot the Producers Department decided by the Head of State, as head of the Cameroon Cocoa and Coffee Sectors Development Fund (CCEODEF).

Gifted, Samuel Donatien Nengue left the University of Yaoundé (Cameroon) for IRF Orlando (in the United States) via the CNAM of Paris, the Bridges and Highways (France), the Birmingham University (United Kingdom) and Setym of Montréal (Canada). Subsequently, his professional career in turn led him to the head of major accounting audit and financial engineering firms, consulting agencies for companies in difficulty, the Savings Fund, the management of public companies such as the Cameroon Road Fund.

A technocrat obsessed with good results, this sober and discreet financier who has been slandered several times by a press never responds to attempts to destabilize by information, but rather by his professional performance. Administrator of the CCEODEF since November 2016, he is the one chosen by the President of the Republic, Paul Biya, to pilot the competitiveness of Cameroon cocoa and coffee sectors through the Producers Department which will be officially launched in March 2021.

For Samuel Donatien Nengue, the Producers Department will revolutionize the cocoa coffee sectors by repositioning local farmers at the heart of the sector’s competitiveness thanks to information of choice, targeted aid, the integration of the smart mobile phone into the exchanges between the Fund he manages and local farmers. Moreover, says the administrator, the provision of high-quality seeds and quality processes to Cameroonian producers will pave the way for the long-awaited industrialization.
